New Officers Elected at Annual Meeting

There was a good turn out of members for the 2012 Annual Meeting of S D Woodcarvers, Inc.--enough at least to elect some new officers. After serving a second three-year term as President (and coffee maker), Dick Hansen has been given a well deserved reprieve from his official duties. Bill Dickey, Sr. will now take over that important position.

Bill's son, Gene, will continue to prove his excellent work as Secretary and publisher of the Newsletter, and Derek Boekoff will once again serve as Vice President.

The important office of Treasurer, which has been diligently maintained since 2007 by Bill Huntimer, will now be trusted to Arne Bortnem.

Other business of the meeting included a decision to have third Saturday meetings at the Sioux Falls Center for Active Generations.

Christmas Show Sales were Good!

According to SDWC member Frank, woodcarving sales were pretty good during the Christmas Show and Sale at the Park Ridge Galleria. And at least two little girls were happy to have their picture taken with Santa (also a woodcarver and member of SDWC).
